Our patient presented to Dr Esteban with multiple periodontal abscesses secondary to advanced periodontal disease, which were having a significant impact on both the function and appearance of their smile.

Before Dentistry Treatment

Clinical examination revealed generalised tooth mobility, recurrent tooth fracture and significant aesthetic concerns, leaving our patient looking for a reliable solution that could restore both their smile and confidence.

Following a detailed consultation, the patient expressed a preference for a fixed, cost-effective solution that would provide long-term function while significantly improving the aesthetics of their smile. A full-arch immediate loading protocol, commonly known as “Teeth in a Day,” was planned.

All remaining teeth were atraumatically extracted, followed by the placement of a minimum of five dental implants in the maxilla and four implants in the mandible. A fixed, screw-retained provisional bridge was fitted on the same day as surgery, allowing the patient to leave with a fixed smile from the very beginning of their treatment journey.

Following an appropriate period of soft tissue and osseous healing, the provisional restoration was replaced with a definitive fixed full-arch prosthesis, providing a long-term solution designed to restore function, improve aesthetics and give the patient renewed confidence in their smile.
